GOHC funds events that meet the following compelling interests:
Cultural and Racial Initiatives: Event engages in the elevation of cultural and/or racial identities
Inclusive Social Life: Event makes an effort to encourage inclusivity with a diverse group of participants
Mental Health: Event has programming pertaining to the issue of mental health
Harassment Prevention: Event prioritizes a culture of no tolerance for any and all forms of harassment
Financial Accessibility: Event does not create any form of financial barrier
Club Grants: COMMON APPLICATION
Club Grants are a great way to finance your student organization. All registered student organizations (including club sports) are to apply using this grant. Apply for a club grant to cover events hosted by your club.
Clubs MUST fill out this application before applying for an interview; if you do not submit an interview request with the Grant ID provided at the bottom of this form, we will be unable to process your application.
UC funding is event-based. All clubs - large and small - get funding from the UC based on the number of events they have. There is no size-based discrimination when it comes to UC funding.
Q: How do I see how much my club was allocated?
A: All allocations are sent out in Grants Packs linked at the bottom of the UC Updates email, which is sent out each Tuesday during the semester.
Q: When do I see how much my club received?
A: After completing interviews and enacting cuts, the UC Finance Committee submits the Grants Pack legislation to the UC General body by Friday at 4pm. The legislation must then be passed by the UC General Body on Sunday afternoon, and the final Grants Pack is sent out in the UC Updates on Tuesday.
Q: Can I apply retroactively for funding for the Fall 2021 semester?
A: The UC can only fund events that occur during the current semester.
Q: I have receipts to submit for past grants, how do I do that?
A: Visit harvarduc.org/ucfinance to find the link to submit receipts.
Q: I don’t think I’ve received funding that I was supposed to receive; what should I do?
A: Please fill out the Missing Grants Form found at harvarduc.org/ucfinance.
